Sub-Endemic Birds on Dalat Plateau - Annam minivet (subspecies of Long-tailed minivet).Brilliantly-colored forest bird, typically encountered in flocks. The male is black and red, the female is grey and yellow. The male is very similar to the Scarlet and Short-billed minivets but has a forked pattern on the wing instead of the “lightning bolt” of the other two species.

The female can be identified by a similar simple wing patch and a less extensive yellow head than the Short-billed and Scarlet. The tail is longer on average than other minivets.
